Choosing with confidence

About this collection.

Can a water-bath canner process every food?

No. Use a tested recipe and its specified method. Foods that require pressure canning cannot be made suitable for water-bath processing simply by boiling longer.

Will any rack fit my canner?

Do not assume so. Compare the rack and pot dimensions and follow their instructions. Jars need stable support and the correct space for processing.

Can I use the canner on a glass cooktop?

Check both the exact canner instructions and your stove manual. Base shape, diameter and total filled weight matter. Compatibility varies by model.
